Like a good man...
Good drapery rings are so hard to find...
(inexpensive ones anyway. The rings not the man!)
I was jumping for joy at the old Home Depot
(my home away from home) when I found these rings!!
I painted over the black finish with a bit of raw umber paint
and voila they look just like the real iron rings.
Most clip style drapery rings do not have the little eye on the ring itself and usually just have the clip part fastened directly to the ring.
No eye on the ring!
Without that little eye on the ring you have to hang your drapery directly on the large ring. This makes your draperies hang all kinds of wonky...
The rod, the rings, and the ceiling brackets I already had
look like a complete iron set after painting
everything deep brown

My husband cut the conduit pipe using a sawzall.
It cut like buttah.
Needless to say the sawzall is now my new favorite tool.
I am so glad I made the drapery width and a half. You really need that extra fabric to make things look more luxurious. It lifts the humble canvas up a notch.
Who could be so excited about rings? Crazy, I know, but
I've been on the lookout for this style of ring for years.
I may have to buy a case of them.
Time to get the paint brush out.
I'll be using the same color I used in my vanity area. Martha Stewart, Reed. Lightening up should help things blend and get me closer to that higher end look.

I have a little side window to address too, and this would be perfect!
A dash of Alesandra or Athena tape from Lewis and Sheron would be the icing on the cake.
